What are Angel Fang Piercings?

What are Angel Fang Piercings?

In the world of body modification, trends come and go, but there are always those piercings that especially catch our attention. Enter "Angel Fangs," a super cute set of piercings that has gained major popularity online and irl. Although they are known by their nickname, they are technically a pair of vertical upper lip piercings.

Angel fangs consist of two symmetrical piercings placed above the top lip. Unlike angel bites, fangs are pierced vertically, exiting from the bottom of the top lip. These piercings are worn with curved barbells (like vertical labret and eyebrow piercings). The bottom pieces are often fitted with spiked ends to give an authentic "fang" vibe.

Like most piercings, angel fangs are anatomy dependent. The upper lip must be fleshy enough to accommodate a piece of jewelry. If you are considering this piercing, an experienced piercer can assess if your anatomy works!

Although angel fangs are a safe piercing, they are a little more high risk than others. The placement of this piercing can be prone to migration, which in turn can cause scarring. This is something that should be considered and discussed with your piercer prior to getting this!

If you're interested in getting angel fangs but are unsure how they would look, using extra ball/spike ends and eyelash glue can give you a good vision of how they would fit. Place the eyelash glue where you intend for the piercing to be, let it get tacky, and stick on ball/spike end. Voila!
